Trudy Bidwell’s Water Chestnut Appetizers


2 Cans Whole Water Chestnuts

1 ½ Lbs thin sliced bacon

Sauce:

½ Cup Ketchup

½ Cup Brown Sugar

1 Tbsp Soy Sauce


  1. Wrap 1/3 slice of bacon around each nut. Fasten with a toothpick

  2. Bake at 400 degrees til bacon is crisp. Cook on a big cookie sheet.

  3. Drain the greese off and place in a 13x9 serving dish.

  4. Make the sauce. Pour sauce over bacon nuts and bake again for 10-15 more minutes. Serve Hot

Bake at 400 Degrees F
