2 Cups Sourdough Starter
1/2 Cup Water
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
3 Cups Unbleached Flour
Mix culture, water, salt and sugar. then add flour one cup at a time until too stiff to mix.
turn dough onto well floured board; knead in any remaining flour.
After it is well kneaded divide dough into 6 equal balls. Roll each ball into 6” round, rolling outward from middle to maintain the round shape.
Lightly cover and let rise for 30 miinutes.
Fifteen minutes into the rising time preheat oven to 500`; Place ungreased baking sheet in oven to warm. TO bake place two loaves on heated baking sheet on bottom of rack of oven. Bake for 5 minutes or until they start to brown and puff in the middle. Immediately wrap clean dry towels around the rounds to cool. Store in plastic bag in refrigerator or freezer still wrapped, to thaw later.
